作品紹介『浄土への臨終』2025年作
衆生が浄土へ生まれる時の
柔らかい優しい気持ちや
阿弥陀さまと交わす五色の糸の
繋がりの温かみを表現しました。
丸い円は優しい気持ち
円には五色の糸（青・黄・赤・白・黒）を巻いており
念仏者が臨終のときに
阿弥陀仏の像の手から
自分の手に掛け渡した糸を
表現しています。
この糸によって
極楽浄土に導かれるとされた
臨終の瞬間を表現しています。
私も臨終のときはこんな笑みでしょうか。

This work was exhibited at the Kyoto Museum of Culture
for the Kyoto Crafts and Fine Arts Artists Association's 80th Anniversary Exhibition.
It frequently appeared on television during the exhibition.
Work Introduction: ‘Passing into the Pure Land’ (2025)
This piece expresses the soft, gentle feelings
of sentient beings being reborn into the Pure Land,
and the warmth of the connection formed
by the five-colored thread exchanged with Amida Buddha.
The round circle represents gentle feelings.
Wrapped around the circle are five-colored threads (blue, yellow, red, white, black).
This depicts the thread
passed from the hand of the statue of Amida Buddha
to the hand of the person chanting the Buddha's name
at the moment of death.
It expresses the moment of death
when one is guided to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss
by this thread.
I wonder if I'll have a smile like this at my death.
