作品紹介《浄土への臨終》2025年作
去年、京都工芸美術作家協会の
京都文化博物館に於いての
創立80周年展に向けて制作した作品です。
丸い輪は優しい気持ち
亡くなる時に、阿弥陀さまと人間とを繋ぐ
五色の糸を丸い輪に巻きました。
優しい気持ちで優しい顔になりました。
糸に繋がれてこの女性は
今から浄土へ向かいます。

このお人形は、
柔らかい表情を持ちながらも、
どこか深い哀しみを感じさせる存在です。
見る人に静謐な気持ちを届け、
心を落ち着ける効果があります。
自身は僧侶であり人形作家であり、
命の大切さを再確認するための作品として
お人形を制作しています。
少しでもそれを通じて、
生と死のつながりを
感じていただけたら幸いです。

足の長さが全然足らず
粘土をどさ！とつけています。
飾る分には気にならないです。

Artwork Introduction: *Passing into the Pure Land* (2025)
This work was created last year for the
Kyoto Culture Museum’s
80th Anniversary Exhibition of the Kyoto Association of Crafts and Fine Arts.
The circular ring symbolizes a gentle heart.
I wound five-colored threads—which connect Amida Buddha and humans at the moment of death—
around the circular ring.
With a gentle heart, the face became gentle as well.
Connected by these threads, this woman
is now on her way to the Pure Land.

It conveys a sense of tranquility to the viewer
and has a calming effect on the heart.
As both a monk and a doll artist,
I create these dolls as works
to reaffirm the preciousness of life.
I would be delighted if, through them,

the connection between life and death.
I truly hope you will see it in person
and experience its charm for yourself.
The legs were far too short,
so I just plopped a big chunk of clay on them.
It doesn’t bother me when it’s on display.
